Description

Autumn market activity, culinary diversity, offers for families, and open Sunday:
The city of Dillenburg invites you from Saturday, October 31, to Sunday, November 1, to the traditional Hubertusmarkt in the city center. For two days, visitors can expect a varied program of commerce, enjoyment, and autumnal entertainment.

The offerings are diverse
Around 80 local, regional, and national vendors will present a wide selection for everyday life, home, and gift ideas along the market stalls. The range includes outerwear, knitted goods, and handcrafted baby clothing to hats, caps, leather goods, kitchen aids, ceramic pots, high-quality Swiss knives, and gardening tools. Arts and crafts and decorative items are also well represented: Among other things, jewelry, fabrics and wool, stained glass, wire figures, cork accessories, wooden items, and lovingly designed gifts will be offered. Anyone searching for special products for their own four walls or for the upcoming (pre-)Christmas season will definitely find something at the Hubertusmarkt.

Delicacies, specialties, and autumn enjoyment
The culinary offerings on-site invite you to taste and enjoy. Gourmet specialties, honey, delicious liqueurs, gin and whisky, exquisite cheese varieties, as well as tea and spice blends enrich the market's offerings. The selection is complemented by natural cosmetic products made in-house.

Numerous food stalls will provide hearty and sweet treats between the vendors. From currywurst with homemade sauces, grilled sausages, and langos, to lahmacun and gözleme, as well as tornado potatoes and gourmet meat skewers, there is something for every taste. Sweet tooths can look forward to roasted almonds, crêpes, waffles, churros, Kaiserschmarrn, poffertjes, cotton candy, and soft serve. Additionally, the colorful market activity provides a delightful opportunity to herald this year's mulled wine season in the city of Dillenburg.

Offers for children and families
There will also be plenty for the youngest market guests. Two children's carousels will bring great joy on both market days.

On Saturday, October 31, children can also get creative: In keeping with the autumn theme, there will be a Halloween crafting event. For a contribution of 2 € per child, they can let their imagination run wild and take home a beautifully handcrafted piece.

On Sunday, November 1, graceful walking acts will also parade through the city center. Towering on stilts, they are the messengers of autumn, guaranteed to bring a smile to the faces of both young and old guests.

Open Sunday: Discover autumn and winter trends
On Sunday, the vibrant activity will be complemented by an open Sunday. From 12 to 6 p.m., the merchants of Dillenburg will open their doors and invite you to a relaxed shopping spree. In addition to the current autumn and winter offers, the market day provides the perfect opportunity to visit the local retail trade in the city center.

The autumn "Beautiful-Things Market" invites you on Sunday, November 1, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. to browse in the Protestant community house at Zwingel. Interested parties can expect a variety of exhibitors from the region, as well as many beautiful items, crafted with heart and hand, to admire and purchase.

Notes on traffic and parking options
During the market days, there will be traffic restrictions in the city center. Residents as well as businesses, particularly on Hauptstrasse and Marktstrasse and at Hüttenplatz and Wilhelmsplatz, are asked for their understanding. From Saturday to Sunday, the affected properties in the enclosed market area cannot be accessed or left with motor vehicles between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. A dead-end rule applies on Kirchberg; an exit via Wilhelmsplatz will not be possible on either day.

Free parking options are available for market guests at the stadium and the town hall. Additionally, on open Sunday, November 1, the Oranien parking garage can be accessed and used free of charge. Payable parking spaces are also available at Karlsplatz and Konrad-Adenauer-Allee.
